I want fun. I want thrills. I want derring-do. Good golly, am I begging for a little derring-do.

No single movie is capable of fixing the hot mess that is the DCEU by itself. But Blue Beetle is a solid step in the right direction.

Theater Camp is the most giggly, adorable, crowd pleasing movie of the summer. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and I promise you’ll think it’s way better than Cats.

If you were looking forward to a light, amusing fish-out-of-water tale, you’re not going to be disappointed. But if that’s all you expected, then hold on to your Barbie Girls bucket hat. 

Accept this latest mission. Otherwise, I have no choice but to seriously doubt your movie selection skills.

It will be a travesty if Greta Lee and Teo Yoo’s names aren’t announced early and often throughout awards season.

Indiana Jones enthusiasts absolutely need to see this movie. Action movie aficionados will also find a lot to love about it.

Craig gets the most important - and probably the most difficult - part right. She expresses the mystery and wonder of this specific moment in a young girl’s life with an abundance of love and heartfelt respect. 

The movie becomes a mirror that reflects Marvel’s greatest accomplishment back at us: the creation of a community made up of imperfect human beings, who gather together a few times a year for an often perfect storytelling experience.

Polite Society is an earnest high school punk band of amateur superhero poses and twirling saris determined to take down the patriarchy … It’s the best script of the year so far.

The plot doesn’t really matter at all. It’s only there to hold billions of shiny nostalgic Nintendo references. It’s not Shakespeare, but it is a ton of fun.

When Chair ran across the city streets chasing after its dreams, I sprinted down the aisles of the theater and frantically pointed which way it should go. I can’t explain why a drawing of a tiny, wooden chair made me feel so invested.

I’m sure that long before all of the positive SXSW Festival buzz arrived that they knew they had accomplished their goal. I would agree.
