It’s rare to find a film that has so many reasons to recommend it. 

The first two episodes suggest this show will be a winner.

The plot is moving and important. Its issue is that the storytelling doesn’t do it justice. 

What makes the film truly amazing is that in the midst of all the razzle and dazzle is an insightful, timely examination of what it means to be an outsider. 

But not every film that talks about important things actually says something important.

We must remember that a prison’s walls work two ways. They don’t just cage people within them. They keep society from having to look at those locked inside of them.

Life will find a way.

Fans of the first film and fans of smart, low stakes horror are going to love this movie. 

Hopefully, it will teach all of us how to build beautiful, brand new worlds out of the pieces we see right in front of us.

Those alive (and lucky enough not to have been fed to the wolverines) during SNL’s first decadent decade will definitely adore this nostalgia machine of a film. 

Sometimes, to survive, we must become something more than we were programmed for.

It’s a charming, inspirational story that everyone will find something to love about.
